I wrote, back in 2016, together with Kristof Blieck a book “Bouwen aan het front. Loopgraven, schuilplaatsen en betonbunkers van het Duitse leger aan het Ieperfront 1914-1918” on request of the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 in Zonnebeke. This book about the German building activities on the Ypres Front sparked interest abroad. Nigel Cave, known from several books about WWI, contact both authors and the museum to have the book published in English.
The book was translated and edited and finally published in June 2018 as “Defending the Ypres Front 1914-1918. Trenches, Shelters & Bunkers of the German Army” with Pen & Sword Books Ltd. Nigel Cave wrote an introduction to the book, to which some illustrations and a tours section was added.
This first publication with Pen & Sword was the beginning of more. Further publications in English are planned in the near future. It is worthwile to keep an eye on this website.
The book can be bought from Pen & Sword, from several online bookshops and from the authors.
